Traci Wendell, LCSW
I help clients recover from anxiety and depression and improve social relationships. I offer an insight-oriented approach. I also do EMDR and parts work. These modalities are helpful for trauma recovery and changing unhappy patterns. My goals are for clients to feel supported and understood. I recognize that each person has their own, internal wisdom. I like to understand and honor this wisdom as I work with you to build better mental health.
Marie Christensen Counseling LLC
You've gotten so good at being who everyone needs that you're not sure anyone actually knows the real you. Nothing is technically wrong, but something’s missing. Maybe you’ve gone looking for answers before, and you’ve seen reel after reel of picture-perfect lives, and you felt more alone than you did before you started. I help people in your shoes build a life where you get to be fully yourself and still feel deeply connected to the people around you. If you're sick of combing through wellness content and never seeing yourself, if you walk away from each reel feeling more invisible, I've been there. Let's talk. I'm a chronically ill therapist with specialized experience in complex trauma and identity formation. I work with teens and adults on PTSD, anxiety, depression, living with neurodivergence, identity shifts and development, social and relational struggles, and big life changes. My background gives me distinct expertise in working with childhood sexual abuse. My therapy is person-centered and attachment-focused, and I emphasize genuine accessibility in all my work. Starting therapy is a vulnerable process, and you've already taken the first big step. You deserve a safe environment to take up space, and it's my honor to hold that space with you. Reach out, and let's talk about what therapy for you can look like.
Kaijah Bjorklund, Center of Balance Counseling LLC
You look like you have it together but inside you are exhausted, overwhelmed, or just quietly struggling in ways nobody around you seems to notice. The students I work with have often been carrying something heavy for a long time: anxiety that won't quit, a past they can't stop thinking about, or a pattern of burning out no matter how hard they try to keep up. Some are high achievers who look completely fine on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or empty on the inside. Others are navigating something that happened earlier in life that is finally surfacing now that they have space to breathe. Many of my clients have tried talking about their problems before and felt like it helped in the moment but didn't really change anything. That's because some of what we carry doesn't live in our thoughts. It lives in the nervous system, in the body, in patterns wired into the brain long before we had words for them. I use approaches, such as EMDR and IFS, that work directly with the brain and body, not just the thinking mind, which is why clients often notice real shifts after feeling stuck for years. You don't need to have it figured out before we talk. You just need to be curious about why you keep feeling the way you do, and open to the idea that something can actually shift. If you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, trauma, depression, difficult relationships, or a general sense that something is off and you can't quite name it, you are probably in the right place.

These days it seems like there’s a crisis around every corner and our nervous systems are perpetually overwhelmed. It’s no wonder many of us feel anxious, fatigued, fearful, and are losing hope in the future. These feelings are real and they are valid, and it can help to have someone in your corner as you navigate these stormy waters. My goal is to create an environment where you feel respected, valued, and comfortable being your authentic, unmasked self. I am passionate about helping you move towards self-compassion and away from shame and self-criticism. I specialize in working with ADHD and Level 1 autism, especially in women, who have historically been overlooked and chronically misdiagnosed. I also collaborate well with: creatives, empaths, environmentalists, people who have been told they are “too sensitive", people working through grief and/or anxiety. I am a cheerleader in the best sense of that word; I will encourage you to build on your strengths and support you through your struggles. Please reach out if you could use some extra support!
Saumya Humpf
Hi! I fundamentally believe you are whole, unbroken and perfect, and I also imagine you might not believe that about yourself sometimes. I work with students experiencing a wide range of challenges including: depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia and the struggle to love the body one lives in. I use the tools of yoga, embodiment, mindfulness, meditation, and nervous system support to approach healing and integration. As a mental health therapist, certified yoga therapist and ketamine-assisted therapist I work from trauma-sensitive, consent-based and liberatory approaches, and I am committed to you experiencing agency, empowerment and freedom.

Finding a therapist who shares important parts of your identity or life experience can make therapy feel more accessible and meaningful. My experiences as an Indigenous and queer trans man and outdoor adventure athlete have shaped my journey and the way I understand healing. I take a relational approach grounded in Indigenous perspectives, with a belief that growth and healing happen through community and connection. I work collaboratively with people to explore patterns and relationships while considering how our cultural, social, and systemic contexts shape who we are and how we experience the world. My goal is to cultivate a therapeutic relationship where you can be curious and vulnerable without having to leave important parts of yourself at the door. My practice is rooted in Relational-Cultural Theory, with elements of mindfulness and ecotherapy. I work with individuals, couples, and groups, and I also offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and gender-affirming care. I may be a particularly good fit if you're navigating questions of queer or cultural identity, healthy masculinity, grief, relationships and polyamory, sleep and restorative practices, or the ways risk, challenge, and growth show up in your life. I'm also interested in working with people who feel most themselves outdoors, whether that's through running, climbing, paddling, cycling, or other forms of adventure. Before becoming a counselor, I spent years in bike shops and punk houses and later worked in engineering, business, and leadership. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for people who don't always fit neatly into conventional systems or expectations. Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me running in the forest with my dog and partner, fixing things, making adventure gear, or strength training. I currently offer affordable telehealth counseling in Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma, Montana, Alaska, and Rhode Island. My standard session fee is $30 with sliding-scale options available.

College can be an exciting but overwhelming time—balancing academics, relationships, future goals, and mental health isn’t always easy. At Praxis, I provide integrative psychiatric care that supports college students in navigating these challenges. My approach combines medication management, psychotherapy, and holistic strategies to help you feel more grounded, focused, and in control of your well-being. As both a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I bring a unique blend of expertise to my work. I started my career as a therapist, helping people explore their emotions, relationships, and personal growth. Now, as a psychiatric provider, I integrate medication management with therapy, offering a well-rounded approach that supports both mental and emotional health. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, or the stress of major life transitions, my goal is to provide personalized, evidence-based care that fits your needs. My approach is collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to find the right combination of strategies—whether that’s therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or a mix of all three. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. At Praxis, you’ll have a space where you can explore what’s going on, feel understood, and develop tools to move forward with confidence.

Currently accepting members for the Body Acceptance Group for Woman on Zoom. Our goal in group is to help you learn to connect with your body in a shame-free, loving, and enthusiastic way. I hope to help you achieve this through: *Critically evaluating the ways our negative view of bodies has been influenced by our upbringing, peers, and society *Deconstructing internalized body shame *Removing body-shame barriers that stop us from doing activities that bring us joy *Exploring what healthy looks like at every size *Exploring how we can see our bodies as more than objects *Becoming more mindful *Learning to have compassion for ourselves and others. ------- My goal is to help make counseling feel comfortable, safe, and at your pace. We will work collaboratively to help you find your strength, feel empowered and confident, and rediscover meaning and purpose in your life. Talking through past or present tough experiences or hurts can be difficult. It’s tempting to try and ignore them or minimize how they are impacting you. Therapy can be a safe space to help you take the time needed to address your feelings in a way that will help you truly heal from the hurt, and discover how to engage with yourself in a healthy way that enables you to move forward. Therapy with me is a nonjudgmental and collaborative space. I believe that the answers you are looking for are likely already within you, but therapy can help illuminate what those solutions could be. I work in session to address emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal relationships, and use mindfulness and other tools that many people have found help them cope with challenging life circumstances. I also lead a group called Body Acceptance for Women, where you'll learn to connect with your body in a shame-free, loving, and enthusiastic way. I recognize that scheduling therapy for the first time can sometimes feel like an intimidating process. My hope is that you will trust that counseling can have a powerful and positive impact on your life. If you are bothered with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, body image issues, feeling unworthy, struggling with relationships, or any other challenge in life, let’s talk about it.

My passion is to assist people who desire to get unstuck, be more confident, feel more relaxed, connect with others, feel less irritable, communicate better, understand their dreams and are looking for meaning and purpose in their lives. We might be a good fit if you are someone who has difficulty with boundaries and assertiveness or think of yourself as a "people pleaser." Another good fit would be if you feel that you are lacking direction in your life or feel like "something is missing" but aren't sure what it is or how to find it.

College and grad school can bring a lot of pressure—and for many students, that can show up in their relationship with food and their body. Between academic stress, social comparison, changing routines, and campus culture, it's common for body image concerns and eating disorder symptoms to become more intense. As an eating disorder registered dietitian, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed nutrition counseling from a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) and All Foods Fit approach. Whether you're struggling with an eating disorder, chronic dieting, body image, or simply want to feel more at peace with food, I'm here to help you build a healthier, more flexible relationship with eating and with yourself. I also lead Yoga for Embodiment and offer virtual sessions for Illinois and Oregon residents.

Lucy Zhang | High-Functioning Anxiety & Perfectionism
College is a remarkably strange time in our lives, because so many things can be true at once. On one hand, it’s what we’ve been waiting for, and when that day arrives, we are indeed motivated, happy, and independent, and yet, the inevitable finds a way to creep back into our lives. We also feel startlingly overwhelmed, stuck in our head, and deeply unsure of what the future holds. We want to be surprised by just how much the new daily routine, relationships, family, purpose, and other people’s perceptions of us still seem to govern us, but there is also a voice inside of us that always knew the old patterns would resurface. I help young adults navigate that liminal space for when you want something more out of life, are eager about therapy as an avenue for finding it, and already exhausted the list of coping skills you found on TikTok. Therapy is a space where we get to go much deeper. We understand where the pattern came from, what it has been doing for you, what’s been happening underneath, whether it still fits the person you are & who you’re becoming, and what you can do that can actually help it shift. My work supports those struggling with cognitive overload & overwhelm, high-functioning anxiety, relationship stress, attachment patterns, trauma, perfectionism, identity emergence, and late-diagnosed neurodivergence. I like making connections and noticing the patterns with you, especially the ones that can be harder to recognize from the inside looking in, or difficult to make comprehend when trying to persist in holding all of it alone. Sometimes you know exactly what you want support in. Sometimes you don’t. You’re not sure of how you got here, why this awful feeling won’t go away, and if it ever truly will. The beauty is this: You don’t need to have it figured out in this space. A lot of the work is being curious together, making sense of the whole picture, learning to tolerate what remains ambiguous, and evermore creating more room for clarity, agency, and a life that feels like yours (that IS yours). Maybe you CAN have the life you’ve always imagined having.

If you feel unheard, disconnected, or at the end of your rope, maybe you are feeling lost after losing your faith, or are in a relationship that leaves you unseen. I offer therapy that starts with your emotions, lived experience, and focuses on compassion as a tool for healing. I utilize a trauma-informed, nature-based therapy and believe nature is a powerful tool for keeping us grounded when things in our lives feel out of control. Together we can work on helping you feel more grounded, connected, and at peace. I offer telehealth counseling across Oregon, including Portland, Salem, Eugene, Bend, and Medford. Much of my work has involved trauma and helping people make sense of what happened and how it shows up now. I listened first, reflect what I'm hearing, and then look at what emotions that brings up for you, in a warm, non-judgmental, calming space. I also offer walk-and-talk, nature-based sessions for people who feel better processing outdoors. Finding the right fit matters. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation on my website. Evening hours available.
Healing Insight Psychotherapy
Do you love gaining insight into who you are? Are you a little more introverted and introspective? Do you see life as an opportunity to develop yourself and grow? Do you sometimes also feel guilty over potentially disappointing others, or are you constantly acting as a mediator in your relationships? If these questions resonate- then you might be an internalizer and we can do some wonderful work together to help you understand your past and help you become the most emotionally healthy version of yourself. My practice is focused on helping you develop insight into the "why" behind some of your struggles. I work with people facing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, identity development (racial, sexual, spiritual, personality, etc), and difficulty processing loss. If any of that resonates please reach out and we can schedule a free consultation.
Lexi Gross Counseling PLLC
My clients are exhausted and overwhelmed like you. They are tired of doing their best to keep all these balls (school, work, parenting, relationships, self-care, health and wellbeing, sleep + more) up in the air (even though admittedly they are pretty darn good at it). But when they inevitably drop a few because something else pops up or they get tired, life feels messy and they are quick to place judgements on themselves. My clients are expert problem solvers and doers, who in the face of stress, just keep going. Some are the type of person who the people in their life lean on for support. Some have tried a number of ways to fix or problem solve their way our of their emotions or exhaustion. They find their coping to work for a little bit but aren't moving them towards the life they imagined for themselves. Some realize they aren't sure they can keep up with all of what needs to be done to feel "okay". When some of my clients do take time for themselves or the rest they need, their mind struggles with feeling guilty, worrying about what they "should" be doing for work/school/person (fill in the blank with any responsibility). I help my clients get clearer on their wants, needs, and values while addressing some of the downfalls that come with always doing, fixing, and over functioning. I approach my work with clients through use of Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. These two approaches help support internal reflection and clarity along with experiential, skills-based, and mindfulness practices.
