College is a lot. You’re expected to keep up with classes, friendships, relationships, work, family expectations, and decisions about your future—all while somehow figuring out who you are and what you want your life to look like. Sometimes it can feel like everyone else has it figured out while you’re just trying to keep your head above water. I tend to work best with students who may look like they’re holding everything together on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck, or unsure of themselves underneath it all. Maybe your mind never seems to shut off. Maybe you’re struggling with motivation or falling behind when you know you’re capable of more. Maybe relationships feel complicated, you have a hard time setting boundaries, or you’re starting to realize that things from your past are showing up in your life now. Or maybe you can’t quite explain what’s going on—you just know you haven’t felt like yourself lately. You don’t need to have the perfect words for what you’re experiencing before coming to therapy. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on, either. Sometimes we start with what happened this week. Sometimes we talk about something you’ve been carrying for years. Sometimes we figure it out together as we go. My goal is to create a space where you don’t feel like you have to perform, have the “right” answer, or convince me that what you’re going through is hard enough to matter. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation—one where you can laugh, cry, vent, be frustrated, ask questions, learn about yourself, and still leave with tools you can actually use outside of our sessions. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety and overthinking, depression, trauma, burnout, self-esteem, identity, relationships, family struggles, or simply trying to navigate this very weird transition into adulthood, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. We can start exactly where you are.

I believe growth happens when we feel seen, supported, and understood. My counseling style is compassionate and collaborative — meeting you where you are while helping you take clear, intentional steps toward where you want to be. Using a gentle yet solutions-focused approach, I draw from evidence-based practices to help you uncover patterns, develop effective coping tools, and move toward lasting change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, stress, or relationship challenges, our work together focuses on understanding your story and finding practical ways forward. My goal is to help you build insight, confidence, and resilience, so you can feel more grounded, connected, and capable in your daily life. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps, and are ready to find a way forward toward greater balance and fulfillment. Wherever you are on your journey, therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward growth.

Fundamentally, my aim is to support my clients in contacting their inner self-knowing, and "make friends" with all of the various parts of themselves in the warmth and security of this inner space. To achieve this, I practice person-centered therapy, with a strong emphasis on somatic awareness. When working with clients, I am listening for "what wants to be heard" that day. In my view, I am a supportive and curious observer, and my job is to reflect back to my client what I am seeing. My style tends to be more direct, and I regularly encourage my clients to take ownership over their treatment and to trust themselves. In a first session with me, we explore where you've been, where you are, and where you would like to go. Often, I invite people to tell me their story and then describe their current situation. We will work together to assess what feels like the most supportive areas of focus, and will create some goals which guide our future sessions. During this process, however, you can still expect curiousity, empowerment, and validation. What's most important in any session is establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

I love working with people facing challenges in their relationships, whether romantic or otherwise. My goal is to help you identify what you truly want, where you encounter obstacles, and to help you address any self-imposed obstacles. We'll work together to make change happen fast so that what you want is more likely to become reality. I won’t just nod along, so if you're looking for someone who doesn't skirt around the issues, you're on the right profile. I have experience working with a with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship distress, mood disorders, anxiety, impulsive behavior, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, maladaptive perfectionism, and teens at risk for personality disorders. I'm well-versed in both DBT and RO-DBT, both of which shape my approach to therapy. I have been intensively trained in Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), a specialized treatment for Chronic Depression, Anorexia-Nervosa, and disorders of Overcontrol (OC).

I believe the therapeutic process can be enlightening, challenging, at times uncomfortable, but ultimately transformative and healing. My hope for the relationship we co-create in this process as therapist and client is that you feel affirmed, cared for, safe, and valued. Through a holistic perspective that integrates the mind and body, I aim to empower my clients to identify with and realign with their values in order to achieve their goals and express their most authentic selves. I am passionate about helping individuals move past trauma so it no longer defines their present day experiences. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my practice draws upon the modalities and foundations of EMDR (formally trained), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Empowerment Perspective, and the mind-body connection. I am trauma informed and inclusive. I have had the pleasure of working with adults, young-adults, adolescents, first responders, active military duty, veterans, individuals who have experienced sexual assault, anxiety, depression, and relational conflicts. I have a particular focus on PTSD and trauma. I deeply look forward to what lies ahead in our work together.

With experience serving ages 12-adult, I aim to create a safe space to explore an array of different obstacles within the human experience to leave my clients feeling empowered and heard. I have a well-rounded perspective on spirituality, and challenge myself to do continued allyship work within myself and my practice to show up for the intersections of my clients with a mindfulness around impact, action, and honoring the innate dignity of the whole person.

Welcome! Many women in college come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure, often caught in patterns they’re ready to change. You might be navigating college adjustments, emotional stress, social or relationship challenges, trauma or loss, attachment patterns, self-discovery, spirituality, self-esteem or belonging, women’s issues, or major life transitions. Life brings both pain and beauty, and reaching out for support takes courage. My work offers a warm, holistic, and collaborative space to explore these experiences with care, creativity, and solution-focused guidance. Somatic psychotherapy with me provides a space to breathe, slow down, and connect with your inner life and wisdom. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Dance/Movement Therapy, I integrate body awareness, nervous system and parts work, creative expression, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change. Healing often begins in small moments of being truly met. I believe it unfolds through authentic, non-judgmental connection, where curiosity, attunement, and care create space to rediscover who you are. I offer a warm, supportive presence that nurtures resilience, clarity, self-trust, joy, and a deepening sense of belonging within yourself. Email me to schedule a free 15-minute call to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

I help young adults shed their self-doubt, people pleasing, and outdated expectations of who they should be, so they can discover what feels genuinely aligned and feel more connected to themselves and in their relationships. Our work can support you in setting clearer boundaries, understanding and expressing your needs, confidently making authentic decisions, and relating to yourself and your body with more compassion and trust. This is a space to let go of perfection, get curious about what you're experiencing, and reconnect with yourself so you can feel more grounded, whole, and fully alive. I offer walk-and-talk and virtual therapy; many of my clients come to me for support with anxiety, low self esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, and eating disorder recovery. We can talk, create art, play games, or connect with nature while we explore your emotions, find your voice, and move through challenges at your own pace. Together, we can uncover patterns and past experiences that may be keeping you stuck, helping you untangle the threads, release societal pressures, and create lasting change. My goal is to help you live a more confident, fulfilling life. If anything here resonates, reach out for a free consultation. I'd love to hear your story!

You and your life isn’t one note. You are multifaceted and the demands you face happen to be as well – particularly when you are a student. Currently, the sound-track of your life has moved away from the sounds of a harmonious symphony -or maybe from an upbeat pop song- to something more unnerving and stressful (like the alarm you use to wake up to in the morning or the background music in a horror film—building tension, bracing yourself from some known or unknown threat). It makes sense that life has been overwhelming -increased responsibilities and life demands alone would contribute to this feeling. Add fears about the future, a recent breakup, challenging relationship dynamics with family, and/or other stressors and you might find yourself tipping the scales of your emotional bandwidth. I help students focus on the unique aspects of their lives that are no longer serving them – with empathy, tools, problem-solving, and emotional healing and growth. I believe you can have a richer and higher-quality of life– free from the overwhelming influence of your current life demands, harmful past experiences, poor modeling, and environmental toxicities (psychological). A Stoa Therapy provider. For most families, finding a qualified speech-language pathologist means long waitlists, limited local options, and clinics that don't take their insurance. For adults navigating a voice disorder or recovering from a stroke, the barriers are just as real. We built Stoa Therapy to solve that. By delivering care over telehealth and working directly with insurance, we connect patients across Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Louisiana with SLPs who have specialized training in exactly what they need. The result is care that's easier to start, easier to sustain, and genuinely effective. Get matched, visit: https://stoa-therapy.com/
Man.Kind Counseling
Finding a therapist is hard, especially when 99% of these profiles sound exactly the same. So, let's cut to the chase. I work with men who are struggling with their life the way it is, who are ready to make changes, and get back to living. Whether you're depressed, stressed, angry, constantly fighting, shutting down, or overwhelmed - you're stuck, and I can help. I offer a free initial call so we can work out what's going on, and exactly how I think we can make an impact - both on an immediate basis, and over the long-term. Our first goal: to give you the tools you need to stop feeling stuck, and start moving forward. I want you to walk out of our first session feeling confident you know what you can do to start helping yourself now. As we work together, we'll take a look at the patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that caused those problems in the first place, and start to explore your path forward so you can get back to being the man and partner you want to be. I do great work with Men because I know Men's issues. I know what it's like to feel stuck, and how great it feels to get back to your life, self-esteem, and full potential. Ignoring the problem won't make it go away, so shoot me an email and let's get started. I offer free consultations and online scheduling.

While talking things out can often hold a lot of value, I don't believe it should be the only tool in the toolbox. I want to help you heal from what you're struggling with, not just cope. I help my clients get to the root of their inner experiences and feel more connected to themselves, their life, and others. I specialize in helping people compassionately navigate their inner world- working through experiences like anxiety, depression, trauma, people pleasing, self worth, identity, relational struggles, and perfectionism. We'll connect to your emotions, understand how your inner world came to be, and move towards connecting to your most grounded, authentic self. I am trained in internal family systems (IFS) and use it as my primary approach. I value the relationship between the mind and body; also incorporating somatic, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and values work. In our work together, you will experience collaboration, careful listening, encouragement, and humor. I believe you are the expert of your own life and my role is to support you in strengthening your relationship with yourself! If you're interested in working together, please feel free to reach out.
