I believe finding the right therapist is a major part of successful therapy. I love to work with individuals and couples in a solution focused way where I can support them as well as provide feedback and tools to help navigate towards each person's personal goals. I love to engage with people during sessions and to make sure that they feel comfortable being their authentic selves without any reservations or fear of judgement. I have a wide range of experience in a variety of mental health concerns and especially love working with people managing the stressors of any relationships, dating, marriage, anxiety, life changes and life adjustments. I want to make sure that anyone who sees me feels they are benefiting from therapy and working towards a better quality of life.

To say life can feel overwhelming at times would be an understatement. Between work, relationships and the demands of daily life, it’s easy to feel stressed or unsure of how to move forward. You don’t have to navigate those stressors alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process what you’re experiencing and develop tools to help you feel more grounded and confident. Whether you’re going through a major life change or simply feeling like things have become harder to manage, therapy can be a place to get support and make meaningful change. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with teenagers and adults in a variety of settings. My approach can be described as authentic, warm, and conversational. I incorporate components of cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive restructuring, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing in sessions. If you are ready to take the first step in prioritizing you, let's connect! I am happy to meet for a complimentary 15-20 minute video consult to discuss your therapy needs and see if we are a good fit.

You might be struggling to understand why you fall into the same damaging patterns in your relationships. Or why, no matter how much you want to, you just can't seem to let yourself be vulnerable with the people you love most. Or maybe you're facing questions about your path in life and trying to fit into a predetermined mold. I believe we shouldn't have to force ourselves to blend into one aspect of our identities. We deserve to embrace all parts of ourselves and create our own unique balance from our cultural, gender, emotional identities and more. Attachment theory, trauma informed interventions, and a personal and therapeutic perspective of multicultural identities are some of the things that allow me to support you in better understanding yourself and get answers to your biggest questions about you. All with the goal of feeling most aligned with who you truly are. Life today can fill our heads with so many complexities that we sometimes lack the capacity to figure all this out on our own. The therapeutic space we create can be dedicated to the personal challenges that have had to take a backseat. Those parts of you deserve the time.
Solace Beyond Psychiatry
My name is Priscilla, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I enjoy working with students who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what’s going on beneath the surface. Many of the students I see struggle with anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, or are exploring whether they may be autistic. You might overthink, procrastinate, feel constantly behind, experience sensory overload, or wonder why things seem harder than they should. My approach is collaborative and practical. We focus on understanding how your brain works and creating a plan that fits your life. That may include medication when appropriate, but we also talk about sleep, nutrition, vitamins, and other non-medication strategies that support your mental health as a whole.

I understand that therapy can be daunting for a plethora of reasons. Some people find themselves saying, “I’d never go to therapy,” however, I truly enjoy working with people who have a hard time believing therapy would ever work for them. When meeting new clients, I like to understand at which part of the therapy process they are in, and start from there. We will have goals in mind, but building rapport is one of the most important steps to taking care of those goals. Anxious about… everything? Find yourself feeling more insecure or down than usual? Fighting with a friend, family member, partner or all the above? Having difficulty managing ADHD symptoms and how they all seem to affect any of the previous issues listed? Let’s figure it out together! I tend to be more relatable (but still professional), as a means of establishing that I am here with you and for you, not as an authority or someone that knows better. We can collaborate on how to get you where you wish to be, even if you are not so sure where that is yet. To see if we are a good fit, I offer 15-minute consultations.

Road Back Therapy
I am a short-term therapist who works specifically with clients with chronic health conditions. Over the course of 20 sessions, we learn all about what is happening in your body and brain, learn and practice coping skills to manage anxiety related to your chronic medical condition, and have the option to complete hypnotherapy for chronic illness as well. If you are struggling with mental health related to a chronic health condition, and especially if you are experiencing high amounts of anxiety and low quality of life related to health symptoms, you will be a great fit for what I provide. If you have never done therapy before, or if you have found that your current therapist doesn’t quite “get it,” and you’re hoping to work with someone that has an intimate knowledge of chronic illness and hospital systems, then you will be a great fit. I also work alongside your full-time therapist if you have a therapist you love and would like to stay with while we complete our work together. I am also a good fit for someone who is specifically seeking out an LGBTQ therapist. I only offer virtual therapy at this time.

The client I do best with is the good kid in the family that never causes waves or the quiet kid in the classroom that is a great team member but never makes a fuss. I work best with the silent suffering - those who look just fine on paper and are out and about in their personal life. These are those folks who are too nice, always making excuses for bad behaviors in relationships and ultimately ending up feeling invisible and unloved. I do well helping these types realize their value and helping them assert themselves. I typically work with people who may not have a full blown addiction but might be suffering by drinking too much or keeping an eating disorder in secret. They are getting their pain out in unhealthy ways.
