You may feel stuck in the same patterns: having the same argument with your partner, overthinking every decision, or knowing something needs to change but not knowing where to start. I work with adults and couples navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions. Therapy can help slow those patterns down, understand what is driving them, and create more intentional ways of responding so you can feel more connected, grounded, and confident in your relationships and everyday life. My style is collaborative, curious, and down-to-earth. I help clients understand the patterns beneath their distress while also building practical ways to communicate, regulate emotions, and respond differently. I draw from relational, attachment-based, and evidence-informed approaches tailored to each client or couple. Finding the right therapist matters. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or ready for something to change, I would be glad to talk with you about what you are looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit.

Are you looking for a neutral person to lend an open ear? A box of tissues? A high-five? Or some sound advice? Therapy can provide you all of those things and lead to a transformation in your life. I have seen it first hand in my work with individuals and families. They initially feel very overwhelmed and hopeless. Once we establish a relationship, push through the resistance to change and the "hard stuff"; new chapters quickly start to write themselves. This is the most rewarding part of my career, helping others see their true potential.
Fernanda alves
My name is Fernanda Alves and I am originally from Brazil, where I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2006. After graduating, I immigrated to the US to pursue my master's degree in mental health, which I completed in 2012. Since then, I have worked as an outpatient therapist for two nonprofit organizations, where I obtained experience working with children, adolescents, and families. At the beginning of 2020, I opened my practice, where I have been working with children, adolescents and adults. As someone who has attended counselling myself for anxiety and ADHD, I noticed that plain “talk therapy” was not the most effective method for so many of us, so with that in mind, I developed a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach with my clients that allows them to develop tools to accept life’s challenges while moving towards their values and goal. Instead of focusing on WHY you can't accomplish something, I will help you focus on HOW by giving you productive solutions and strategies.
Neponset Valley Neuropsychology, LLC.

It makes use of standardized tests to measure mental abilities including attention, concentration, memory and learning, language, visual-spatial abilities, organization, planning, problem solving, and executive functioning. We all have a unique story to tell. Our stories need witnessing, understanding, and even transformation. I believe that therapy provides such a transformative space. It is only in telling our stories, slowing down and recognizing our automatic thoughts and responses that we can reveal our unique inner resources and the truth that we already have everything we need to embrace lives of connection, health, and purpose. It is a creative and collaborative endeavor, navigating internal and external struggles, organizing thoughts and feelings, identifying patterns, and being curious about our own (and each other’s ’) stories. In the past twenty years I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults coping with with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief and trauma. Working with adolescent and young adult females struggling with mental health issues, especially those related to self esteem, identity, and the complicated transition to adulthood is a particular passion. I use a blend of clinical modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS); Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and other mind/body techniques; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT

Kara Lustig
I have worked with college students struggling with a wide range of difficulties and acuity over the past decade plus, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have a casual yet professional style, and prioritize creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can increase awareness of their emotional and relational patterns. I pull from several orientations, including psychodynamic/relational, emotion-focused, CBT, acceptance-based, and compassion-based approaches in order to make sense of your difficulties with you and to identify ways to change, or as is the case in the many situations that we can’t change, learn to relate to it differently. My clients express appreciation for my transparent, collaborative, compassionate, and well-informed approach. I am interested and have experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including racial and ethnic minorities. I try to understand clients in context and I seek to bring in societal issues and -isms to understand clients experiences in the world. I am open to talking about my own identity and position in society. I have openings for telehealth clients located in Massachusetts, NC, or any participating Psypact state. I accept Aetna in MA. I accept Aetna and BCBS in NC. Please email me if you would like to schedule a free initial call to answer any questions and assess whether we may be a good match.
