A tending space for LGTBQ+ and/or Neurodivergent individuals and couples and for folks with complex trauma. If you’ve learned to survive by shrinking, masking, or staying vigilant, you’re not broken—you adapted. Healing doesn’t require forcing change, but moving at the speed of trust and rhythm of safety with someone attuned alongside you. I am a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing therapist rooted in somatic, creative, and relational modalities where I help clients to cultivate nervous system safety and regulation, reconnect with their bodies and intuition, and reclaim their authenticity and agency, supporting them in living a more expressed, embodied, and expansive life.

Many people seek therapy when they are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or struggling to move forward after difficult life experiences. I strive to create a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel comfortable exploring their emotions, building insight, and developing greater confidence in themselves and their relationships. I particularly enjoy working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, and major life transitions. My approach to therapy is strengths-based, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused techniques to help clients better understand patterns in their lives while building practical tools for change and emotional resilience. I have experience working in crisis intervention, addiction recovery, and supporting college students, and I believe therapy can help people reconnect with their own strengths, sense of purpose, and ability to move forward with greater self-awareness and confidence. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina State University and am completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Outside of the office, I enjoy birdwatching, exploring Colorado with my dog and friends, knitting, and finding humor in everyday life. Questions or Need Assistance Booking An Appointment? In these difficult times, managing life's demands is often challenging. Anxiety, depression, and frustration may feel overwhelming and impossible to overcome. Seemingly obvious solutions often make it worse. For example, worrying about being anxious or avoiding anxiety arousing situations only increase the problem. However, there are effective coping strategies that help. I offer practical alternatives in a warm and supportive environment.

I was raised in a commune-style farm setting in rural Pennsylvania, and earned my BA from Middlebury College and then my MA in counseling psychology from Lesley College. I am currently pursuing her certificate in Modern Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, NJ. I am a mother of three and a longtime practitioner of yoga, meditation, and Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese acupressure). These practices inform my interest in the well-being of the whole person. I provide a safe and comfortable space where you can explore the parts of your life that you value and also the parts you may want to change. My approach is to cultivate a sense of curiosity and kindness while supporting you in saying whatever is on your mind. As we put our thoughts and feelings into words, we tend to grow more comfortable in ourselves, even in the midst of discomfort. We may find ourselves in more positive relationships at home, at school, and at work. We may find more clarity about how we want to live our lives. Whether in person or online, I see the therapeutic process as a catalyst for reflection, exploration, self-understanding, and personal growth. Together, we will work to understand the richness of who you are and resolve whatever is getting in the way of achieving your personal and professional goals.

I accept Anthem, Cigna, United, and Aetna insurance. If you're embarking on finding a therapist for the first time or seeking a new one, you're taking a courageous step toward prioritizing your well-being and health. It's not an easy decision to make, especially considering life's challenges and the accumulation of stress, particularly during academic pursuits or while navigating livelihood demands. With 20 years of experience, I specialize in working with anxiety and stress among young adults. I provide support for individuals dealing with depression, grief, and trauma recovery. What sets my practice apart is my two decades of experience working with stress, anxiety, loss/grief, and traumatic experiences. I work in my office and via telehealth, and I incorporate nature and equine-assisted therapy into the healing process. When partnering with horses, I facilitate connections with the natural world, which fosters transformation and healing of trauma and stress within a safe, confidential environment. I also have an office space in Gunbarrel and work with modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. If you're interested in scheduling a complimentary phone call, please get in touch with me. I also take CU student insurance through Anthem and United Insurance, as well.

Will Siu, MD, DPhil

Psychiatrist
In-Person & Online
Boulder, CO

Will Siu MD, DPhil, is an Oxford and Harvard educated psychiatrist working at the interface of medicine, mysticism, and transformation. Shaped by his own healing journey, his work focuses on trauma, resilience and the deeper dimensions of human evolution — drawing on somatic therapy and integrative approaches that conventional psychiatry rarely reaches. Treatment Philosophy: Healing is a relational, transformational, and deeply human process. While medications can play an important role at certain moments, I’ve found that lasting change emerges through psychotherapy and through reconnecting people with their own capacity for awareness, vitality, and agency. My early training included classical psychotherapy, and over the years I’ve integrated it with insights from Eastern philosophies, contemplative practices, somatic work, and modern trauma science. I also support spiritual and meditative practices for those who are drawn to them, and I draw from my experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy when it aligns with a person’s readiness and goals (though I do not provide psychedelic sessions). Although I do prescribe medication, most of the people I work with are not on psychiatric drugs. When medications are used, I view them as temporary supports rather than long-term solutions, and I remain attentive to reducing or discontinuing them when life becomes manageable without them. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship—an authentic, attuned space where people can safely explore their inner world, integrate their history, and reconnect with their inherent aliveness. My role is to help people access their own inner healer—the part of them that knows how to grow, repair, and transform when given the right conditions. Ultimately, the aim of treatment is freedom: to live with greater clarity, creativity, connection, and self-trust.
