Dr. Farrah Mirzaee
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am dedicated to supporting individuals to reach their full potential by enhancing their overall functioning, well-being, and relationships (most importantly is our relationship with ourselves). As a holder of an Educational Doctorate (Ed.D), I am passionate about education and supporting those who are pursuing their education to elevate their life and contribute to their family/community.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that clients are the experts on their own lives. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership built on mutual respect, compassion, trust, and teamwork. Guided by my faith, I strive to treat every person with dignity and understanding, without judgment. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, foster personal growth, and pursue healing. I am also passionate about promoting mental health awareness through education, support, and advocacy to help reduce stigma and increase access to care.
Clinically, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is my foundational orientation. I also use other interventions/orientations to explore the origins of thought and behavior that has become problematic, disruptive, or unhealthy such as Psychodynamic or Motivational Interviewing. I do not believe that a "one size fits all" approach works among people or within a person's life.
